Family Support at RAF Northolt

Coram Family Lives is a national family support charity that provides support and guidance across all aspects of family life. We are working closely with the Covenant Fund to support families of serving personnel. Our work focuses on helping families feel more confident and better able to manage the unique pressures of military life, including frequent relocations and loneliness, long periods of separation, the emotional impact of deployment, and the everyday stresses of family life. We also support families with children who have additional needs and disabilities.

How the support is delivered

Weekly drop-in sessions

These sessions run on an appointment basis and provide parents with the opportunity to discuss any concerns or access information about local and national services available in the area.

Parenting workshops

We deliver workshops based on topics identified by parents, such as routines, boundary setting, and supporting children with additional needs. These sessions offer a safe and supportive environment for parents to share experiences and learn from one another.

Befriending support

A six-week programme of one-to-one sessions delivered either in the family home or within the community. This support focuses on helping parents develop effective communication skills, build positive relationships with their children, and adopt a positive approach to parenting.
